Topcamp collaborates with Oslo Kayak Tours to offer a 3-hour kayaking trip on the idyllic Lake Bogstad, available from May to September. This activity is perfect for families, friends, or couples alike. The tour begins and ends at the beach at Bogstad, just a 5-minute walk from Topcamp Bogstad. There, the boats await, ready for a lovely journey on the water.
The Paddling Route
During the trip, you’ll receive an introduction to canoeing and kayaking—no prior paddling experience is required. We provide safety instructions and adjust the equipment and tour to match the participants' skill levels. You’ll learn about the history of Bogstad Gård and enjoy paddling on the Sørkedalselva, a calm river surrounded by beautiful nature and wildlife. These rivers were once key travel routes for the Vikings, connecting villages, providing access to the sea, and serving purposes such as trade, warfare, and exploration.
We paddle to Bjørnsgard at the far end of Lake Bogstad, a small Norwegian folk museum, where we take a short break before paddling back.
